| The framed artwork or picture should be hung away from direct sunlight and areas of high humidity and moisture, for example a bathroom or damp basement. Areas of extreme temperature changes and high heat should also be avoided. The frames can be cleaned using a duster. Vigorous wiping should be avoided since some more delicate finishes may be damaged. This is particularly true of lighter color finishes. The glass can be cleaned with a glass cleaner. For UV filtering glass, an ammonia free glass cleaner should be used. The glass cleaner should not be allowed to drip into the edge of the glass. The liquid may seep in and damage the matting or the artwork. |
